The point: Isaiah Armstrong did not install drainage as specified in the contract and this has resulted in damage to my home.
Gutter Downspout Drain Not Installed
This was not done and no allowance was made for drainage. When confronted about this, Isaiah Armstrong justified this to me by saying that the downspout could be moved, despite me pointing out that a large amount of the roof drained to that spout.
This is an especially frustrating point for me because a big reason that I hired Isaiah Armstrong for this work, despite him not being the lowest bidder, was that the was the only one that mentioned this drainage issue. I believed I was dealing with a knowledgeable person who would handle the drainage issue and prevent water from entering my home. A belief I now see was in error.
Due to the aforementioned crowning and negative slope on the slab, water from this downspout was now entering my home, and I had to sandbag the back of the home and take other remediation measures to keep water from causing damage to the interior of the home.
