The point: Isaiah Armstrong's incompetence and negligence damaged my property. Angi knows about all of this and has refused to take any action against Isaiah Armstrong.
Conclusions
The conclusion are as follows:
- Of the seven terms listed in the contract signed between Isaiah Armstrong and I, Isaiah Armstrong was deficient in, or outright failed to uphold, every single one.
- Isaiah Armstrong either was not aware of or willfully ignored the relevant building codes regarding the thickness of the slabs and slab drainage, perhaps believing that I was not aware of them.
- Isaiah Armstrong did not properly remove vegetation, make even a passing attempt at grading the area, lay a gravel subbase, or really take any of the necessary steps as would usually be required to successfully pour a slab of these dimensions
- Isaiah Armstrong did not properly scope or plan the project before committing to it.
- Isaiah Armstrong failed to properly plan for the delivery of the necessary materials and tools.
- Isaiah Armstrong did not procure materials in sufficient quantities necessary for a successful project.
- Isaiah Armstrong did not communicate the scope or details of the project to his subcontractors.
- Isaiah Armstrong did not adequately manage his time or his crew’s resources..
And finally, by producing a product that is completely unusable for its intended purpose and does not even adhere to building codes:
Isaiah Armstrong's incompetent
and negligent actions damaged my personal property, damage that I had to repair
at an additional cost of time and money.
Isaiah Armstrong, representing himself as an experienced contractor on the Angie’s List / Angi platform, demonstrated extreme incompetence and extreme negligence in every single phase of this project, and that incompetence and negligence directly lead to severe damage to my home and property as well as financial damage resulting from the need to clean up Isaiah Armstrong’s mess.
Angi has been repeatedly made
aware of Mr. Armstrong's lack of licensure and actions regarding this project,
and has refused to take any action.
